The poultry cage feeding management skills of chicken cage manufacturers

Chicken cage manufacturers have many skills in raising chickens. The most difficult process for the chicks in the growth of the flock requires the care of the farmers. The following points are summarized about the management skills of the cage feeding of the chicks:

①Start feeding; feeding the newborn chicks for the first time is commonly known as "start feeding". It is necessary to grasp the time for the chicks to start feeding. It is best to start feeding 12-24 hours after hatching, and it is best not to exceed 36 hours after long-distance transportation. Too early, the chicks have no appetite, and affect the absorption of egg yolk; too late, the chicks will consume too much energy, lose water and become weak, and also affect their future growth and survival. When the chicks can stand and move after their feathers are dry, 60%-70% of the chicks should start eating when they are looking for a peck.

The starter feed requires freshness, with a moderate particle size of 1.5-2.0 mm, which is convenient for chicks to peck, and is nutritious and easy to digest. Farmers often use broken corn, broken rice, broken wheat, millet, etc. Large-scale chickens often use chicken mix to mix wet or directly feed dry powder.

② Feed combination; brooding feed should be a full price compound feed, which can meet the needs of protein, energy, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients during the growth and development of chicks. The feed for chicks can be prepared according to the feeding standards, combined with the status of the young group and the source and type of local feed. From the 4th day of brooding, an additional 1% of gravel can be added to the diet, especially for online brooding and cage brooding, and more attention should be paid to the replenishment of gravel.

③Feeding method: For the first three days of feeding, you can spread the feed directly on the opening tray or sterilized kraft paper or dark-colored plastic cloth to induce it to eat. Some chicks do not know how to eat when they are fed for the first time. Artificial lures should be used to make the chicks learn to eat. After 2-3 training sessions, the chicks can learn to eat. Cage brooding chicks are inconvenient to train, as long as the drinking water and starter feed are placed in a more conspicuous place that is easy to peck. After 4-7 days, you should gradually transition to the use of troughs or barrels for feeding. Generally speaking, 1-3 weeks old use young chicks troughs, 3-6 weeks old use medium-sized troughs, and after 6 weeks old, use large-sized troughs.

It is very convenient to use poultry cages in chicken farm to feed the chicks.
